NOVEMBER REMINDERS OF JANET

  • Janet’s Mom was visiting the cemetery and asked her to please let her know that she hears me, that she’s ok. A few seconds later and beautiful bird started singing in the cemetery.

  • On November 10, 2006 at the Watchung Hills Pop Warner Midget game, there were many amazing reminders of Janet:

  • The first play of the game, the Midget Cheerleaders were doing ‘Janet’s Cheer’ and the Wolverines were returning the kickoff. The ball passed our player and he had to run back to get the ball. He scooped it up and at our 30 yard line was confronted by three members of the opposing team. He miraculously got passed all three and ran the remaining 70 yards for a touchdown.

  • The star running back on the other team was ejected from the game in the second quarter for poor sportsmanship/kicking a player. Janet never liked when people were mean to each other. She could never understand why someone would do a mean thing to someone else.

  • Her parents won the 50/50 and donated it to her fund.

  • After the Midgets won, they unrolled their banner dedicating the win to her and waving her flag. At the same time, the announcer played ‘Move Along’ by the All American Rejects in its entirety. A true sign that she is with us all the way.

  • On November 16, 2006, Janet’s father was up in the middle of the night in the family room watching TV. He turned the low light on the ceiling fan on, but not the fan. It was very hot that night and he way lying on the couch when all of a sudden the ceiling fan came on by itself. Janet’s father has been asking her for a sign that she was ok. She continues to be amazing.

  • Janet’s mother was not feeling well and laid down to take a short nap. The short nap turned into three hours. She did not want to wake up because Janet was in her dreams talking to her. She was in her room and in the hallway upstairs. She was simple, silly and as beautiful as ever. Just like it used to be.

  • Before the start of the JPW Eastern Region Final Game, Janet’s family was sitting in the stands and the Disney song Zippity Doo Da came on. A sure sign that Janet was there… This is the song that plays on Splash Mountain at The Magic Kingdom – which is Janet’s absolute favorite ride. We went on it 5 times one year – she always said she would break that record. Splash Mountain tells the story about Brer Rabbit, Brer Bear and Brer Fox. Janet’s grandmother painted her mother a picture of this for her birthday. Janet’s mother hung the picture in her room when she was born. It still hangs there.
