ACTS OF KINDNESS

We are still writing down all of the acts of kindness – there are so many! We know we don’t have all of them listed, but will continue to add them.

  • Janet’s Fund performed a random act of kindness for two brothers who suffered brain injuries in a tree accident. Each boy received a Yankees package with various Yankee items such as a jersey, t-shirt, baseball cards, beach towel, yo-yo, Yankee Yearbook and other great stuff.

  • Linda Helgeson for always thinking about Janet’s family and showing she’s thinking of them by dropping off flowers and a valentine card her daughter made.

  • Larry Vastola of Vastola & Fackleman for preparing all of the legal work to establish the Janet Zilinski Memorial Fund.

  • The A.J. Santye & Co., Public Accountants located in Somerville, NJ performed all of the work setting up Janet’s fund without charging us. This kind act is equivalent to donating an Automated External Defibrillator, the adult and pediatric pads and the carry bag, along with training costs for four people. Thank you so much! Please use them for all of your accounting needs. We are very greatful for your kindness.

  • John from Café Giardano won the 50/50 at the Midget Championship game in Flemington and donated it to Janet’s Fund. In addition he came and cheered on Team JZ at our playoff games. Everyone eat at Café G in Warren!

  • Mr. Paoella won the 50/50 at the Jr. Pee Wee Eastern Region Playoff Game and donated it to Janet’s Fund.

  • Mrs. Sadlon won the 50/50 at won of our WHPW home games this season and donated it to Janet’s Fund.

  • There were many, many people who cooked us dinner for over two months. Thank you all. Special thanks to MaryAnne Fusco for coordinating all of this.

  • Dr. Catania, who not only met the Zilinski’s at the hospital, but provided endless hours of support and medical knowledge to the family.

  • Carolann Catania, Cindy Szymanski, Michelle Rawson and Maryann Fusco who are planning Janet’s Memorial and also provided unless help and support for the Candle Light Vigil.

  • The many people who brought food to the Candle Light Vigil.

  • The Watchung Hills Pop Warner established the Janet Zilinski Foundation (for scholarships), created her Memorial Garden and dedicated the Cheer Board Room to her. They have provided endless support to the family.

  • Brad Fusco, who with MaryAnne gave endlessly to the Zilinski family. Brad went out and bought the family a new microwave (their had just broken). He fielded endless calls from reporters and coordinated the gathering after Janet’s service.

  • Cindy and Rich Szymanski who sent their landscapers over to clean up the Zilinski backyard and clear out all the brush.

  • Ball Landacaping who came and mowed the Zilinski lawn just as it was getting very high.

  • The Pop Warner Mountain Valley Conference donated the space for Janet’s Memorial Fund Page in the MVC Cheer Competition. In addition, a special Cheer Bear was made and given to Mrs. Zilinski with Janet’s name on the bow.

  • The Midget Football Team presented Mr. & Mrs. Zilinski each with a Teddy Bear at their Pep Rally. One sits on Janet’s bed. The other sits on the night stand next to Mrs. Zilinski’s bed. Janet’s picture stands right in front of it. These bears will forever be special.

  • Jimmy’s School’s PTO bought all of his lunch specials for the year. In addition they donated the space for Janet’s Memorial Fund Page in their annual Directory. Thank you for your kindness.

  • Worldwide Floor Coverings, Edison, NJ cleaned all the carpets in the Zilinski’s home! Who knew they could look so good!

  • Endless trays of food, flowers and baskets were sent to the Zilinski’s home; some by total strangers

  • To the many people who gave things to Jimmy to bring him some happiness. From Baseball tickets (Red Sox vs. Yankees) and Football tickets (Giants vs. the Colts) to footballs and other things, they were all very much appreciated.

  • To Kim Marques for picking up school supplies for Jimmy.

  • To all our friends, neighbors, and family for the endless hours of support and care you have given us.

  • People have just come up and hugged us. A true, simple act of kindness.
